Halloween Short 2010
And Then the World Changed...

Shot and edited in one day - a fun little zero budget effort made just for fun really.

The Nefarious Films production, Bubbling Under (written and directed by Matt Compton) won the Best Sci-Fi/ Horror award at East London's prestigious Limelight Awards. Thanks to all at Limelight, all the wonderful cast and crew and Eastern Edge Film Fund who funded the project.

The film boasts an enormously talented cast including Mark Duncan, Annette Bette Kellow, Kelly Downes and genre heroine Axelle Carolyn (recently seen in the major feature "Centurion" and writer of "It Lives Again: Horror Movies in the New Millenium").

Shot on the RED camera, Bubbling Under boasts great production values belying its modest £1000 budget which was supplied by the Eastern Edge Film Fund.

Nefarious Films entered the Sci-Fi London 2010 48 Hour filmmaking challenge.  Each team was given a title, a prop and a line of dialogue to incorporate into their film and 48 hours to complete it in.

Our entry made it into the top ten but didn't quite hit the top spot.  Maybe next year!

Female of the Species starred Supraneeti Varenya, Jon Campling, Meddy Ford and Mark Andrews.  It was written and directed by Matt Compton and co-written and edited by Gary Askham who was also the Director of Photography.
